Midwich Cuckoos are a London-based six-piece that is pushing artistic boundaries both in their musical style and their wild and engaging live performances. They’ve carved out a name for themselves on the live circuit, drawing comparisons to The Distillers, The Bronx and The Offspring. Their last album, ‘Death or Glory’, is an ambitious and experimental concept album with a narrative that follows a journey of atonement to regain entry to heaven. It’s a heavy-hitting rock album that takes influence from 80s film soundtrack nostalgia and is packed full of sonic experimentation and gorgeous vocal harmonies. The band are now relaunching their new line-up, fronted by soulful singer, Mel Hasan. Since their inception in 2017 they’ve played killer sets at Desert Fest, Camden Rocks, Rebellion and Manchester Punk Festival, and shared stages with the likes of The Bellrays, GBH, The Casualties, The Svetlanas and The Vibrators.
